A stroll along a sunny balcony with a magnificent view of Mont Blanc! Perfect for families who want to explore the mountain and its panoramic views.
The trail begins in the forest on a somewhat steep but short slope, then heads south on level ground. The view is magnificent, as you’re facing the Mont Blanc range. The descent follows a fairly natural trail toward some old chalets.
For those who want an even easier route, simply head toward the Balcon des Sions (up to the fork, before the trail descends toward the area known as Les Boeufs) and then retrace your steps.
A somewhat steep descent on the Chemin de la Combe, just past the fork in the road, at a place called Les Bœufs.
The trail for the Sions Loop is marked with fuchsia-colored signs.

1/ Start from the Mouilles parking lot for a 1-hour-15-minute walk.
2/ Take the path that goes uphill toward the Peray parking lot.
3/ When you reach the parking lot, take the flat path straight ahead—the Chemin des Sions.
4/ Continue straight ahead until you reach a place called Les Boeufs, where signs direct you to take a path to the left as it descends: the Chemin de la Combe.
5/ Continue along this path and turn slightly left onto the Chemin du Chêne. At the end of this trail, you’ll arrive back at the starting parking lot.
Note: If you’d like to shorten this hike, you can stick to the Chemin des Sions and turn back once you reach the spot known as Les Boeufs (before the descent).
