A snowshoe hike to the Croix de Tête Noire, which offers a splendid view of the Mont Blanc massif and the entire valley.
This hike can be extended toward the Bénés Plateau.
Starting from Le Péray, this fairly steep and shaded trail leads to one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Cordon.
Surrounded by typical alpine chalets, a 360° panorama takes in the Mont Blanc, Aravis, and Fiz mountain ranges.
You can continue beyond this point onto the Bénés Plateau, which features gentle, very pleasant terrain but is unmarked; this hike can be enjoyed through spring.
The trail to the Croix de Tête Noire is marked with fuchsia-colored signs. Please note: if you want to go all the way to the Plateau des Bénés, the trail is not marked.

1/ Start from the Peray parking lot for a 1.5-hour walk one way.
2/ Turn right onto the path marked "Croix de Tête Noire."
3/ Once you emerge from the forest at Plan Mousy, continue walking along the path that leads you to the left, toward Les Mouilles de Brey.
4/ Then take the path on the right, which will lead you right next to the Croix de Tête Noire. You’ve arrived!
Note: If you’d like to go to the Plateau des Bénés (unmarked route) at Les Mouilles de Brey, instead of turning right, take the path on the left. In less than 30 minutes, you’ll reach the Plateau des Bénés.
